Privacy statement
This site uses Google Analytics to see how many people visit and which pages they read. For that, Google sets a cookie and processes your IP address; I only see totals, never individuals. Apart from that, the site loads nothing from third parties. Personal details reach me only when you fill in the contact form or email me yourself; at that point I also record which page and referring site you arrived from.
Who processes your details
Heratechs, registered with the Netherlands Chamber of Commerce (KVK) under number 98045423, is responsible for the processing. Questions about your details go to lee@heratechs.com. You get an answer within a week.
What I receive and why
If you fill in the contact form, I receive what you type: your name, your company name if you give one, the email address or phone number I can reply to, the subject, your message and an attachment if you send one. The server records your IP address with the request. That happens to stop the form being abused for spam, and it is deleted together with the request.
I use those details for one thing: answering your question and, if it becomes a project, carrying out that project. The legal basis is the performance of an agreement or the steps leading up to it. I do not use your details to send you offers you did not ask for, and I do not sell or share them with others for their own purposes.
Where it ends up
Your request is stored on the server this site runs on, inside the European Union, and then sent to my own mailbox. That mailbox runs on Microsoft 365. Microsoft processes data as a processor and may use servers outside the European Union, under the safeguards Microsoft provides contractually.
Beyond that there is only Google Analytics, which counts how many people visit the site and which pages they read. No newsletter service, no CRM, no advertising party.
How long I keep it
Requests that do not lead to a project are kept for six months and then deleted. If it does become a project, I keep the administration for seven years, because the Dutch tax authority requires it.
If you want it gone sooner, I delete your request when you ask, unless I am legally required to keep it.
Your rights
You may ask what details I hold about you, have them corrected, have them deleted, have the processing restricted, object, and receive your details in a common file format. One email to lee@heratechs.com is enough and I do not ask for a reason.
If you think I am not handling your details properly, you may lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority.
Security
The site runs entirely over https. Requests sit on a server only I can reach. If something goes wrong with your details despite that, you hear it from me, even when I am not obliged to report it.
